Fusion maestro Indian Ocean made waves at Mandu Festival 2019

News Desk : Indian Ocean’s music has found space in popular culture and has managed to retain its timeless appeal for over a decade. Bringing their unique music to the enchanted city of Mandu, the band performed live on 28th December, Day 1 of the Mandu Festival.

 

The band which spearheaded Indian rock and folk fusion scene in the country mesmerised music lovers with their exceptional sound of contemporary rock mixed with classical, jazz and fusion. The cultural evening at the Mandu festival gave the audience an opportunity to unwind and lend an ear to the thrilling performance by the band who belted out some their legendary songs including Ma Rewa, Des Mera (from Peepli Live), Kandisa and Bandeh.

 

Speaking on Mandu Festival, Raghu Ram of Indian ocean said, “Mandu is a hidden gem of our country which everyone should come and see. Amit Kilam from the band has been associated with the city because he curated and composed for sound and light shows at Jahaz Mahal. The whole band is playing here for the first time and they are stoked about it.”
